Saturday, April 19, 2008: It's Bachelor Party Time

Three weeks and counting! Bryan's in Tahoe this weekend with 17 of his friends for the bachelor party. The ladies will be joining me for a spa day next weekend.

Everything's coming together. The nerves haven't hit yet, at least during my waking hours. But the wedding-related nightmares have started!

We still have a few rsvp stragglers that we're trying to track down. If you're one of them, get your butt over to the rsvp page. It only takes 10 seconds!

Saturday, April 12, 2008: 4 weeks to go!

We can't believe the wedding is four weeks from today! Seems like just yesterday that we got engaged. All of the big stuff has been taken care of...just a lot of little details we need to work out.

Bryan and crew are heading to Tahoe next week for the 4-day bachelor party extravaganza. The weekend after that, the ladies and I will be enjoying a day of pampering at a local spa. (That's my idea of a bachelorette party!)

I'm off to go get my hair done... the "trial run" for my wedding do! See you all very soon.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008: The RSVPs are Rolling In

First, thanks to everyone for all the kind words about my invitations. I put a lot of work into designing those, so I'm glad everyone likes them!! I've started designing invitations and greeting cards for BKB Design Group clients, too. So, if you know anyone who might be interested...send them my way.

Second, so far so good on the RSVPs. 57 accepts, and only 7 regrets. If it plays out as expected, we'll have about 130 people in attendance. Don't forget you can RSVP online. Just takes a few seconds. Don't forget to include your FULL name and the FULL name of your date. We need that for the placecards. Even if you THINK we know, I want confirmation that we've got your names spelled correctly.

Any questions? Just email us: wedding @ boroski.com (take out the spaces obviously... just doing that to avoid the spammers.

Wednesday, March 12, 2008: Invitations Are in the Mail!!

The invitations are in the mail everyone. Keep an eye out for them. And yes, I designed them, in case you were wondering.

We included traditional rsvp cards in with the invites, but for all you tech savvy friends and family out there, we also have an online rsvp form.

I can't believe the wedding's less than two months away.

See you soon!!!

Tuesday, November 13, 2007: We're Shameless

I'm going to shamelessly encourage you all to help us raise money for our wedding. All you need to do is use our affiliate links when shopping online. We get credit for referring your business, and we earn a commission for every sale. I don't want you all buying things you don't need, but if you DO need any of the items listed below, please consider using our affiliate links. I'll keep a running total for all of the money you help us raise. So check back often to see the $$$.

Prints and Photo Gifts from KodakGallery.com (We get 10% commission on each and every sale, not just new customers!! So every time you need to place an order, just make sure you use my affiliate link to get there.)

Prints from RitzPix: Upload your photos to RitzPix.com and pick them up in an hour at a local store. (We get 20% of every sale)

Photo Stamps Stamps.com (We get $15 for every new customer. So, if you haven't gotten your stamps yet for your holiday cards, what better time?)

Stock photos and illustrations from Istockphoto (We get $10 for every new customer that signs up and makes a purchase. If you're not familiar with istock, they provide inexpensive stock photos and illustrations for you home or business use. Fantastic quality and selection. If you have any prior experience with stock photography, you'll be shocked how cheap they are.)

Funny t-shirts from BustedTees.com (We get 12% of all sales)

Business cards, letterhead, notecards, notepads, and more from PSPrint (We get 8% of every sale. These guys are more targeted toward business purchasers. Minimum orders for most products are 250. Prices and quality are great. I've used them for a few of our BKB Design Group clients.)

Business cards, greeting cards, magnets, letterhead, and more from VistaPrint (We get 16% of every sale. These guys are targeted towards individual AND business purchasers. Very low minimum orders. Usually 10-25.)

Website hosting from HostGator. (We get $50 - yes, you read that right - for every new customer. We use them for our web hosting and we can vouch for the quality of their service.)

Saturday, November 10, 2007: We Have Selected our Officiant

A big thank you to Mitch Darnell of Forever Inspired for agreeing to do our wedding in exchange for logo design. The logo's not finished yet, but we're close. I'll post it soon so you can take a look.

As you probably know, we're doing trades for many of our wedding vendors. We're doing their graphic design, they're doing our wedding. We've got our photographer, videographer, accessories designer, officiant, and cake nailed down so far. Still looking for a DJ, so if you know any DJs who might be interested in web design-for-DJ trade, send them our way.

More information on our vendors is available here.
